The verbal history that came with this knife was that it was carried by a US Navy See-Bee (Construction Battalion) stationed on Iwo Jima during WWII. I can't attest to that, just wanted to pass on the lore.
Great looking Ka-Bar knife with a fully intact leather scabbard. The leather leg tie cords have been elaborately braided into a very attractive pattern. Leather grip is tight, no play or wobble, very solid.
Ricasso marked USMC on one side and KA-BAR on the other side.
